Vanessa Deleon: Making a Difference Through Meaningful Design

Award-winning interior designer, influencer and dedicated DIFFA supporter, Vanessa Deleon has been a key participant in signature DIFFA events since 2015. Deleon is the owner and Principal Designer of Vanessa Deleon Associates, a prestigious interior design firm specializing in residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces. Her passion for DIFFA’s mission has inspired her to sponsor several DIFFA projects in New York, creating a powerful partnership in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

“I was introduced to DIFFA by my friend, Danielle McWilliams from Novita. She recommended that I participate in DIFFA. After doing some research on DIFFA, I immediately called McWilliams and said, I’m signing up! Every year I work diligently to compete against myself; creating a better basket than the previous one. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to use my creativity for such a worthy cause.” Her self-challenge strategy has been successful in raising funds for DIFFA.

Deleon was born in Secaucus, New Jersey, but always yearned for the big city lights. During her childhood, she helped with her grandfather’s furniture business and was quickly promoted to design consultant after showcasing her keen eye for style and décor. This was Vanessa’s first foray into the world of interior design and she never looked back. Now, Vanessa is the CEO of her namesake firm, as well as a beloved blogger and TV personality. With 18 years of experience and a signature “minimalist glam” style—Vanessa is surely a maven in her field.

“As a designer, the most meaningful thing I have ever done in my life is being able to create a basket at DIFFA that can bring us closer to a cure,” Vanessa said. “It is all about giving back to a worthy cause. I am so humbled to be part of this generous community of designers who are pitching in to make a difference.”

She is a recipient of Latina Trail Blazer Award, Illustrious Awards, and Gold Coast Leadership Award, and ASID Brand Ambassador.
