DIFFA’s nationwide impact is driven by its National Headquarters in New York City and the four prominent chapters across the United States. These chapters and their community partners work tirelessly within their regions to support local organizations, funding vital programs and services tailored to community needs.
OUR CHAPTERS
CHICAGO
DIFFA Chicago, founded in 1989, grants unrestricted funds to local HIV/AIDS organizations. Our grant philosophy addresses the communities most pressing needs, filling the gap of insufficient and declining government funding. Our three yearly events keep our community engaged in our mission.
Since 1990, The DIFFA Chicago Fellowship has supported a 2nd year HIV/AIDS Research and Clinical Studies Fellow at The Northwestern Medicine Center for Infectious Disease. These dedicated Fellows continue their studies around the globe.
DALLAS
Through monumental events like House of DIFFA, Dallas raises critical funds to support prevention, education, and treatment programs across the region. DIFFA Dallas works to create a healthier future for those impacted by HIV/AIDS in the heart of North Texas.
According to the latest reports (end of 2017) from the Dallas County Health and Human Service, in 2017 it was estimated 18,073 people were living with HIV in Dallas County. This is an increase in over 57% since 2006. In 2017 there were 814 New HIV diagnoses in Dallas County alone. DIFFA Dallas tirelessly works to provide much needed fundraising aid to the organizations that make an impact on these statistics.
SAN FRANCISCO
Founded in the late 1980s by a group of local volunteers, DIFFA San Francisco granted millions of dollars to Ward 86 and other local charities. From its inception in 1983, Ward 86 has played a pivotal role in HIV/AIDS treatment. As one of the first outpatient clinics devoted to caring for people living with HIV, it revolutionized care at UC San Francisco locally and around the globe.

NEW YORK
Serving as the national headquarters, DIFFA New York was founded 36 years ago by a group of passionate designers.
Since its founding, DIFFA has emerged from a grassroots organization into a national foundation based in New York City with chapters and community partners across the country that, working together, have provided more than $50 million to hundreds of HIV/AIDS organizations nationwide. DIFFA New York itself grows year after year, presenting new events and support opportunities for the community and surrounding areas of New York City.
