A message from DIFFA Executive Director Johanna Osburn
DIFFA’s role is as important as ever. Despite many advances in care, prevention and survival rates over the last three decades, HIV/AIDS remains an epidemic here in the United States.
Since our founding 32 years ago, DIFFA continues our mission to help organizations serving those living with HIV/AIDS, fighting to prevent the spread of infection and advocating for policy changes. We continue to be one of the leading organizations providing funding to these groups across the United States.
In times of uncertainty, our community has come together to help those who are most vulnerable and without a place to turn. Without judgment of a client’s background or circumstances, the organizations we support provide life-sustaining services to thousands of individuals including our neighbors, friends, and children.
Our grant recipients fight day in and day out to help prevent HIV and serve those who are living with the disease with care, dignity and respect. They do not discriminate; they welcome all who need help with open arms and provide them with compassionate care and, most importantly, hope.
Non-profit community organizations across the country are in critical need of funding. We will continue to invest in these organizations and provide them with the resources they need to continue their work.
DIFFA was founded to fill in the gaps to care for our colleagues, friends and loved ones; we are now in a position to continue that leadership. We stand together to continue making a DIFFArence and know that you will be with us.
