Steven Williams Promoted to Associate Director

September 20, 2018 (NEW YORK) Last month, DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) promoted Steven Williams to Associate Director. Steven’s tenure with DIFFA extends more than 20 years helping to establish and maintain partnerships, manage major fundraisers and provide administrative support. As Associate Director, Steven will primarily focus on increasing sponsorship for existing events and programs, developing new revenue streams, and advising on the allocation of grants.

“I look forward to supporting Dawn Roberson, DIFFA’s new Executive Director, in taking the Foundation to the next level by increasing revenues and expanding programs. Additionally, I am excited to take an active role in DIFFA’s grantmaking to dozens of organizations across the country by reviewing grant proposals and attending site visits,” said Steven Williams.

Prior to DIFFA, Steven founded and ran a classical theater company in Dallas. In 1995, Steven moved to New York City to further his career in theater. Subsequently, he joined the Foundation as Office Manager. In the years since, he has held positions in data management, special events, community relations, and program management at DIFFA. In addition to helping to raise thousands of dollars in sponsorships to support the organization’s fundraising and grant-making efforts—Steven has relaunched and spearheaded DIFFA’s cause-marketing program Specify With Care.
