DIFFA to recognize supporters and 2015 grantees providing support to fight HIV/AIDS
New York, NY (November 2015) – In celebration of the Thanksgiving Holiday, DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) will host its Third Annual Thanks For Giving cocktail party on Wednesday, November 18 from 6-9pm. Hosted at the Herman Miller Showroom, the event will highlight DIFFA supporters and recognize the foundation’s 2015 grantees making a positive impact in the lives of individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Sponsorships and individual tickets are now available for purchase at thanksforgiving2015.splashthat.com.

“Thanks For Giving allows us to give thanks to our biggest supporters and showcase our grantees who help individuals living with HIV/AIDS and provide preventative services to those most at risk. We couldn’t think of a more perfect time than the holidays to bring together leaders of the design and philanthropic industries to raise awareness and show the collective power we have to fight this disease,” said Johanna Osburn DIFFA executive director.

Thanks For Giving will bring designers, architects, manufacturers and leaders of HIV/AIDS organizations together to give thanks and give back. At the cocktail reception, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction featuring a variety of options ranging from handcrafted jewelry from Cynthia Gale, Cavilinni pillows from Edelman Leather and luxury linens from Sferra

“Herman Miller has been a proud supporter of DIFFA for well over a decade,” said Suzette Rhodes, Sales Lead for the Herman Miller Collection, who represents Herman Miller on DIFFA’s National Board of Trustees. “Co-hosting DIFFA’s Thanks For Giving event at the Herman Miller showroom in New York is a way for us to demonstrate our appreciation for the work done by DIFFA and the entire design industry as we join together in the continued fight against HIV/AIDS.”

Since its founding in 1984, DIFFA has granted more than $41 million to support hundreds of nonprofit organizations across the country combating HIV/AIDS through preventive education, treatment, direct care and advocacy.
